For short stays of two to three weeks

Guests who stay at the apartment can visit the hostel any time they wish and enjoy all the facilities such as the all day tea and coffee, Dabkeh dancing, TV lounge, library and a host of information on travelling in Syria as well as socialise with other travellers.

A two bedroom apartment, fully furninshed to modern western standards. No luxuries, just comfortable items such as clean new beds, wardrobe, etc. Windows have traditional security screens. It’s a very safe place in a good neighbourhood.

is fully equipped with new appliances and a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, plates and a washing machine.

Location

The building is in a quiet location away from noisy streets. You can park your car in the front yard. It’s 50m to the shopping strip souk, restauarants and take aways such as falafel, hummous, shawrma, kebab and exotic Arabian desserts. There are internet cafes nearby and it’s a 500m stroll to the largest shopping center in Syria – Aswak Alkhier which features 450 retail outlets and a supermarket selling western food.

Transport

A 50m walk to catch a taxi to the city centre which is 4-5 km away and will cost 2USD

A taxi to the old city Bab Sharki or Bab Touma costs USD 1.50.

Public transport such as the mini bus runs every 10 minutes or less. It will take you to the city centre and costs 10 cents. On the way it passes the old city near Zablatani, and stops at Athawara street near Souk Al Hamedia, the biggest tourist attraction in Damascus.
